Hello,
My name is Kasheida Hector. I am an independently licensed therapist in both MA and RI. I love nature, family time, animals, and learning about different cultures on vacation. When thinking of healing, growing and/or changing, I believe in the importance of education, community and spirituality.
My Story
I have been providing mental health support to families and individuals for the past 10 years and have extensive experience and knowledge regarding trauma and family work. I graduated from Bridgewater State University in 2015 with a Bachelor in Social Work degree, minor in Psychology. In 2019, I graduated from Boston University with a Master of Social Work degree, concentration Trauma and Violence. In 2020, I completed a program for Intensive Family Therapy: Facilitating Change with Families, Couples, Intensive, and Larger Systems. I have a special interest in working with people of color and helping navigate the challenges and expectations imposed on them by society. I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach to therapy that includes spiritual, insight oriented, relational and behavioral based approaches. I have always been very intuitive and have been studying spirituality and its different aspects for many years. I am a Reiki Master and certified sound healer. I have also completed a Shamanic Apprenticeship in order to deepen my spiritual connection. After learning of the overwhelming racial disparities in maternal health I became a doula in 2023 and have successfully delivered 4 babies. I am a Founders Award recipient from Dennison Memorial Community Center for serving as a role model and mentor to the youth of the New Bedford community. Dennison Memorial played a significant role in my upbringing and really played a part in my understanding of the importance of community.

What is Sylliam Kollective?
Sylliam represents the two people who made me. Sylvia and William. My mother and Father have been my biggest supporters in life and have always made sure I knew that I could do/be anything I wanted in this world as long as I really wanted it and did the work. Manifestation at its finest! The word collective means a group or a cooperative enterprise. A swarm of bees is a collective. One bee alone might do nothing but a swarm of bees? They get things done. Kollective reminds us that we need community, we need our swarm to make a change. When you come to Sylliam Kollective we understand the impact of community on our mental health and if you feel you have no one, now you have us! We strive to create a therapeutic environment that is secure and reflective. We want to help you explore, grow, and thrive by offering personalized therapy tailored to you.
