Doulas can’t provide medical advice and can’t change the clinical recommendations of a midwife or doctor, but the role is important. Doulas provide continuous support and encouragement during labor and delivery and can help you have a better birthing experience. Studies suggest that doula care can make labor and delivery safer for pregnant people and their babies.
DOULA SERVICES
PRENATAL CARE
Appointments where we will discuss a birth plan, child education and both emotional and physical labor and birthing techniques. This is where we will also identify your birthing team and supports.
LABOR AND DELIVERY
Labor and Delivery support at the birthing place identified by caregiver.
POSTNATAL CARE
Appointments where we discuss after birth care. I can also provide referrals to local specialists, support groups, and whatever else may be needed.
